The Final Solution

Hitler hated democracy, communism, blacks, Slavs, gypsies, homosexuals, but most of all the Jews. Since his election to the chancellery Hitler had been planning the Final Solution to the Jewish problem. At first, Hitler planned to expel every Jew from Germany. He hoped to relocate them to Madagascar (an island off southeast Africa).

However, WWII began and Hitler found his empire growing... and with it the number of Jews he needed to deal with. Mass exportation of the millions of Jews now under Hitler's jurisdiction would be impossible, especially during a war.

In 1941, Hitler began to mobilize the Einsatzgruppen or the killing Squads. However, the Einsatzgruppen were thought to be too messy, their work too personal, and their methods primitive and time consuming. Hitler had to come up with a more efficient plan to deal with the Jews.

On January 20, 1942, the Wannsee Conference was held in Berlin. During the conference, Hitler and 15 of his top ranking officials birthed a horrible plan, the state funded murder of every Jewish man, woman, and child in Concentration Camps. The Jews would be dealt with once and for all.
