Genocide Before the Holocaust

History remebers the Nazi regime, the Holocaust, and the Soviet era concentration camps, however, what maybe less well know are the few genocides that have occur before the Holocaust. Genocides like the "Trails of Tears" or even less well know the Armerian Genocide. How about the genocides from earlier ages, like the some battles of the Crusades?
