The OHDELA Holocaust Project

Welcome to the OHDELA Holocaust Project. This project is a Wiki page created by the collective efforts of five OHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy) students and their teacher. We created this as a learning tool, reliable resource, and just an enjoyable way of working together to accomplish a goal. That goal was to not only learn and understand more about this terrible and often misunderstood period in history, but to also make that understanding open to anyone looking for answers. All our information resulted from exhaustive searching for reliable, informative, and primary sources. We are not taking any particular stance on the issues presented, though we do understand that there are some sources and first hand accounts that will appear to be biased simply because we are all human and because we all have our opinions. Conversely, we are aware there will be visitors to this sight who might disagree with something stated within the following pages. Despite that, we have worked hard to state merely the facts and stand as objectively as possible.

We dedicate this site and all its pages to every victim of the Holocaust. It is hard to image exatly what they experienced, but we have striven to give a written account for in the words of Elie Wiesel "...to remain silent and indifferent is the greatest sin of all..."

Warning, some of the content contained in the following pages may include graphic material not meant to be viewed as anything but serious. Parents of children under the age of twelve are strongly cautioned. Parental or teacher supervision is recommended to children and young adults planning to view the following pages. This was a real period in history that at times was very inhumane, and we did not sugar coat or gloss over anything.

Now that you are aware of the maturity of some of our information, why don’t you start at The Beginning.
